Boss who gave employees energy drink
mixed with colon cleanser gets sentenced
If Denise Hernandez did what police say she did, well, she was an all-time bad boss.
Because, police say, Hernandez, a former Texas elections administrator, offered her workers what she told them was Spark energy drink back on April 27, 2021.
They drank the pink liquid. She stepped out, police say. But, when she returned, they say she pulled out a canister of colon cleanse and began to taunt her workers who, reportedly, were already experiencing stomach discomfort.
Hernandez reportedly began singing, "You just drank colon cleaner."
Hernandez, who no longer has her job, was sentenced earlier this month to 18 months probation and 80 hours of community service for the assault.
If you surreptitiously slip colon cleanse to your employees, you might be the worst employer of 2022.
