The 13th nominee for the “Worst Employer of 2021” is … the Abortion Forcer

I literally have no words for this, the 13th nominee for the Worst Employer of 2021. Here's the headline, from NBC News:

D.C. assistant police chief says she was told to
'have an abortion or be fired'

Here are the details.
The assistant police chief in Washington, D.C., one of 10 Black women who filed a class-action lawsuit last month against the city alleging widespread discrimination, said this week that as a cadet she was told she had to get an abortion to keep her job.

"My choice to have a baby was personal, and it should've been mine alone and not for an employer ultimatum," Chanel Dickerson said Tuesday at a community meeting. "I was told I had to have an abortion or be fired from the MPD cadet program." She said she was 18 at the time.
Karen Arikpo, another D.C. police officer, backs up Dickerson's claim with one of her own:
Arikpo has been a DC police officer for 24 years, a career she says was built on a painful secret. She says in 1997 when she was a recruit in the police academy, she got pregnant.…

Arikpo says during that time, her sergeant, a woman, told her class of recruits something that would change her life.

"If we were pregnant we needed to get an abortion or we would be fired," Arikpo says. "So later that day, I went and told my class sergeant that I was pregnant. And she said I needed to have an abortion and she referred me to a doctor in D.C. to get it done."

For its part, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department hasn't denied these allegations, but simply described its current practice to Washington D.C.'s Fox 5: "If a recruit gets pregnant while at the academy, she will be placed in a future class upon completion of her leave. If a cadet gets pregnant, she would continue the educational piece with modified PT per guidance of a medical professional."

Suffice it to say that if you condition employment on getting an abortion, you might be the worst employer of 2021.
